RPG Corner is an independent publication launched in July 2026 by Shadow (not his real name. See FFVI). He did so to simply share his thoughts with anyone interested, about a method of interactive storytelling that he cares deeply about.
I guess if you want to know something about me and this site I will just make the following statements:
Final Fantasy VI is the best roleplaying game of all time, and the SNES era was the best for video game RPGs, followed by the Playstation I and II eras.
Lunar is #2.
There’s no such thing as a JRPG. There’s only RPGs.
I read all of the Lone Wolf series of choose-your-own-adventure books when I was a kid. As they came out.
I just recently started playing TTRPGs, as I became the dungeon master for some kids enamored of Stranger Things, although I have been basically involved in TTRPG adjacent things my whole life. For example, I read R.A. Salvatore’s Drizzt novels when I was younger, and even played Neverwinter Nights for awhile, but as a child of the 80s, I was basically forbidden from having anything to do with actual D&D and haven’t until recently.
Best anime series going right now is, of course, Frieren, but recent ones I liked are Call of the Night, a vampire rom-com that actually doesn’t suck (see what I did there), and Zenshu, which is a heavily color-saturated version of a basic fantasy story, like Record of Lodoss War meets 80s music video.
Oh, and welcome and thanks for being here.
I’m not 100% sure why the below content is here, it comes with the site, so I’ll leave it up for awhile.
